The best way to use a Media Center is to access it with a Remote Control. Then you can control all your multimedia files without using a mousepad.

To do that, you need a remote control for PC. It looks like a normal remote control, except it is sold with a receiver to be plugged on the PC (USB or COM port). Maybe you already have such a remote control. It is sometimes furnished with the PC or with video cards (or tuner cards). We are giving methods to use some of these Remote Controls.

You can also buy a remote control for PC over the Web. First verify it is compatible with SesamTV™ Media Center.

The simplest way to connect your PC and TV is to directly connect audio/video cable between the PC TV output and the input of the television set. In certain configurations, the home equipment won‘t have those in/outputs.

You can also use a set of audio/video transmitters that supports an analog transmission (2.4GHz). Use also a HF remote control to remotelly access the PC.

Alternative solution is to buy another PC dedicated only to your TV set and make them permanently connected. Then you can also link this PC to another one with WiFi (54Mbp recommended for video), Ethernet or Broadband over Power Lines (BPL).

Last option, practical for the subscribers of ‘triple-play’ solution (phone + ADSL + TV), imply a usage of an IP Media Center like MP9 Premium for Neuf Cegetel set-top box; PC and TV are already connected and the remote control provided with the set-top box allows you to control the Media Center.
